NLMK is one of the world’s largest steel producers, accounting for 19% of global steel slab production. The company mines raw materials and produces steel in low-cost regions, while manufacturing finished products in close proximity to its key customers in Russia, North America, and the European Union. Total production capacity exceeds 17 million tons, with up to 90% of all steel produced being processed on the company’s own assets. Driven by higher selling prices and an increased share of finished products in its sales portfolio, NLMK’s revenue grew by 75% year-on-year in 2021, reaching $16 billion. The company’s net profit quadrupled to $5 billion.
